เหตุผลที่ทำให้นครแห่งหนึ่งแสนสงบสุข และเต็มไปด้วยคนคิดบวกและมีความสุข จะมีหญิงชราที่เฝ้าหน้าประตูคนหนึ่งที่คอยทักทายนักเดินทางเสมอ ไปค้นหาว่าหน้าที่ของหญิงชรานี้คืออะไรกันนะ
ณ นครสุขสร้างสรรค์ มีหญิงชราคนหนึ่ง นั่งอยู่ที่ประตูเมือง คอยเฝ้ามองดูนักเดินทางที่ผ่านเข้าออกอย่างสุขุม บางทีนางก็เอ่ยทักทายหรือสนทนากับพวกเขาบ้าง
“พวกท่านมาจากไหนรึ”

จนมาวันหนึ่ง ขณะที่ใกล้มืดเต็มที มีนักเดินทางหน้าตาดีคนหนึ่งท่าทางอิดโรยเนื่องจากเดินทางมาไกลมาก และได้มาหยุดยืนตรงหน้าหญิงชราด้วยความอ่อนเพลีย
“ขอโทษเถอะยาย ผมอยากจะหาที่พักค้างคืนสักหน่อย ยายช่วยบอกผมได้ไหมว่า ผู้คนในเมืองนี้มีนิสัยใจคออย่างไร หากผมจะอยู่ที่นี่นาน ผมจะได้นำไปพิจารณาครับ”
หญิงชรายิ้มและตอบด้วยการย้อนตั้งคำถามว่า
“ท่านคงมาไกล ดูท่าทางเหน็ดเหนื่อยนะ ท่านมาจากที่ใดรึ” หญิงชราถามอย่างอ่อนโยน
“จากเมืองพาราครับ”
“โอ ว่าแต่เมืองนั้น ผู้คนมีนิสัยใจคออย่างไรกันล่ะ” หญิงชราถามด้วยความสนใจ
“โอย ยายคงไม่เชื่อแน่ ผู้คนที่นั่นน่ากลัวมาก เขาไม่สนใจหรอกว่ายายจะหิวโหยแค่ไหน ไม่มีใครสนใจด้วยว่ายายจะพูดอะไร ยายไปขอความช่วยเหลือเขาก็จะหันหลังให้ทันที คนในเมืองนั้นหยาบคาย ไม่เป็นมิตรกับใครเลย” นักเดินทางหน้าตาดีกล่าวด้วยสีหน้าที่ไม่ค่อยดีนัก
“ถ้าเป็นอย่างนั้นจริงล่ะก็ สงสัยว่าเมืองนี้ก็คงไม่ต่างจากเมืองนั้นหรอกพ่อหนุ่ม ที่นี่ผุ้คนมีนิสัยเหมือนคนในเมืองที่ท่านจากมา ยายไม่คิดว่าท่านจะชอบพวกเขาหรอกนะ” ยายกล่าว
“เห้อ ถ้าอย่างนั้นผมคงต้องไปหาที่พักที่อื่นเสียแล้วล่ะ” นักเดินทางหน้าตาดีเดินจากไปด้วยความผิดหวัง
หลังจากผ่านไปได้ไม่นาน ก็มีนักเดินทางอีกคนหนึ่งมาที่ประตูเมือง เขายิ้มให้กับหญิงชราอย่างเป็นมิตรแล้วถามว่า
“ขอโทษเถอะครับ ผมอยากจะหาที่พักสักคืน ยายช่วยกรุณาเล่าให้ผมฟังหน่อยได้ไหมครับว่า ผู้คนเมืองนี้มีนิสัยใจคออย่างไรกัน”
หญิงชรายิ้มและตอบด้วยการย้อนตั้งคำถามว่า
“ท่านคงมาไกล ดูท่าทางเหน็ดเหนื่อยนะ ท่านมาจากที่ใดรึ” หญิงชราถามอย่างอ่อนโยน
“ผมมาจากเมืองพาราครับ”
“โอ ว่าแต่เมืองนั้น ผู้คนมีนิสัยใจคออย่างไรกันล่ะ” หญิงชราถามด้วยความสนใจ
“อ๋อ จิตใจของคนในเมืองนั้นดีมากเลยครับยาย ผมชอบพวกเขามาก ทุกคนล้วนเป็นมิตรพร้อมให้ความช่วยเหลือซึ่งกันและกัน แต่พอผมย้ายที่ทำงาน ผมเลยต้องย้ายเมืองออกมาครับยาย”
“เข้าใจแล้วล่ะ” หญิงชรายิ้มอย่างอ่อนโยน
“ว่าแต่ยายยังไม่ตอบคำถามผมนะครับ ฮ่า ฮ่า ฮ่า”
“ยายคิดว่าท่านคงจะได้รับการต้อนรับจากคนในเมืองนี้เป็นอย่างดีไม่แพ้เมืองที่ท่านจากมาหรอก เพราะผู้คนที่นี่ล้วนมีนิสัยใจคอที่เหมือนผู้คนในเมืองพาราเลยจ้า”
หญิงชราผู้นี้แท้จริงแล้ว เป็นผู้มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านการสร้างพลังบวกให้กับคนในเมือง จนได้รับการแต่งตั้งจากพระราชาให้เป็น รัฐมนตรีด้านสุขสร้างสรรค์ วิธีการคัดกรองคนเข้าเมือง รัฐมนตรีหญิงท่านนี้จะปลอมตัวเป็นหญิงชรา หรือไม่ก็ให้ใครที่มีความสามารถทำหน้าที่นี้แทนได้ ไปปฏิบัติภารกิจสำคัญนี้ที่ประตูเมือง เมืองนี้จึงเต็มไปด้วยผู้คิดบวกอันเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของนครที่เต็มไปด้วยสุขสร้างสรรค์ เป็นนครที่ไม่มีใครคิดลบหรือคิดไม่ดีกับใครเลย

In the kingdom of Happyville, there lives an old lady who sits by the city gate, watching travelers passing in and out discreetly. Sometimes she greets or chats with them.
“Where are you from?”
“You have a child with you? Where are you staying in the city?”
“Ahh… this corner restaurant is delicious and cheap. Don’t forget to stop by it.”
One day while dusk is approaching, a handsome traveler weary from the long journey stops in front of the old lady in exhaustion.
“Excuse me, grandma. I’m looking for a place to stay overnight. Can you tell me what the people in this town are like? If I stay here for a long time, I would like to take it into consideration.
The old lady smiles and replies with a question,
“You must have traveled a long way. You look tired. Where are you from?” the old woman asks gently.
“I’m from the town of Para.”
“Oh, so what are the people in that town like?” asks the old lady with interest.
“Oh, you won’t believe it. The people there are very scary. They don’t care how hungry you are, and no one cares what you say. If you try to ask for help, they will immediately turn their backs on you. The people in that town are rude and not very friendly to anyone”, says the good-looking traveler with a grim expression.
“If that’s true, then I doubt that this town is any different from that one, young man. The people here have the same temperament as those in the city you’ve left. I don’t think you will like them,” says the grandma.
“(Sighs) Then I guess I will have to stay elsewhere,” the handsome traveler walks away with disappointment.
After a short while, another traveler arrives at the city gate. He gives a friendly smile to the old lady and asks,

“I understand,” the old lady smiles gently.
“But you still haven’t answered my question. Ha ha ha.”
“I think that you will be received just as well in this town as in the town you left because everyone in this town has the same temperament as those in Para.”
This old woman is actually a master at creating positivity for the people in the town and has been appointed by the King as the Minister of Happyville. The minister’s selection process is to impersonate an old lady or send someone to carry out this important mission at the city’s gate.
