พินอคคิโอเดินทางเพื่อที่จะกลับบ้าน แต่แล้ว ระหว่างทาง พินอคคิโอได้พบคนลากรถที่บรรทุกเด็กๆมาเต็มรถ ขนลากรถได้ชักชวนให้ไปเที่ยวเมืองแสนสนุกด้วยกัน พินอคคิโอนึกสนุกเลยคิดว่าไปเที่ยวเมืองแสนสนุกดีกว่า
พินอคคิโอทำผิดซ้ำเป็นครั้งที่สอง เขาเหลวไหล ออกเดินทางไปเมืองแสนสนุกกับคนลากรถนั้น เมื่อขบวนรถลากมาถึงเมืองแสนสนุก คนลากรถก็กลับแสดงความโหดเหี้ยมออกมาด้วยการหวดแส้โบยเด็กๆที่มากับรถลาก และยังบังคับให้ทำงาน เด็ฏที่ถูกโบยก็จะกลายเป็นลา พินอคคิโอเองก็ถูกโบยเช่นกัน ทำให้หูของเขายื่นยาวและมีหางงอกออกมาเหมือนลา ตอนนั้นเด็กๆทั้งหลายพากันตกใจกลัว วิ่งหนีกันไปคนละทิศคนละทาง เกิดความโกลาหลวุ่นวายขึ้น พินอคคิโอจึงอาศัยช่วงนี้แอบหนีออกมาได้
พอหลบหนีออกมาได้ พินอคคิโอรู้ข่าวจากนกพิราบว่า ชายชราเจพเพตโตพ่อของเขาออกพายเรือตามหาเขาและถูกฉลามยักษ์กลืนเข้าไป พินิคคิโอนึกห่วงพ่อผู้มีพระคุณที่เลี้ยงดูเขามาตลอด เขาได้ตัดสินใจไปช่วยทันที เมื่อถึงที่นั่นฉลามยักษ์ก็โผล่ขึ้นมาฮุบแพเข้าท้องมัน พินอคคิโอตกใจร้องเสียงดัง

But the fairy wouldn't tell him what the bad things were.
The old man Geppetto was delighted that Pinocchio had really come to life, and he took great care of him, sewing clothes for him to wear, buying books to read, and taking him to school. He loved this wooden puppet like a real child.
Days and nights passed, and everything was going well until a lazy cat and a sly fox saw the old man Geppetto taking care of Pinocchio and became jealous. So, they came up with a bad plan to get rid of the wooden puppet, Pinocchio.
The lazy cat and the sly fox planned to sell him to the owner of the puppet theater. So, they enticed Pinocchio to run away from school and go to the theater. The lazy cat said,

When Pinocchio heard the word fun, he was intrigued but still hesitated. The sly fox then continued,
